Spotlight Colouring Valentines

|

These turned out so cute, they make a really simple Valentine. Watch my video explaining my process. Visit my channel to subscribe.

I used Lawn Fawns Love N' Breakfast stamp set and their Heart Stackables set to die cut all my hearts.

Start by stamping your main image in the centre then spread out from there, turning them randomly. Then you want to find a small circle to trace around your centre image, I used the bottom of a small bottle. Be sure to use pencil and a light hand. (Removing pencil is extremely hard after using Copics on them)

Greys- N0, N2, N4 Pinks-RV21, RV04
Purples-V04, V15 Browns-E34, E15 Blues-BG15, BG13

Now you can decide what colours to use. I started out thinking I wanted my centre circle in colour and the rest in grey (like a shadow out of the spotlight) but on my last one I did the reverse and actually like the way it looks the best.

In hind sight, I might have even added yellow the middle to make it more "spotlight" like.

My sentiment is from WPlus9 That is All set, I think I have used this set more than any other in my collection. It's beautiful and the sentiments are great for all occasions.

These were really a trial and error sort of thing for me. I learned what I like and don't like about the technique for when I do a regular size card. Hopefully you learned something too.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to share!
