Heart Shaker Card Tutorial

I'm so excited to move on from holiday cards. Even if its just to another holiday!
This card was a lot of fun to make, just like most interactive cards.

I started with plain white paper and used 2 different sized hearts from Lawn Fawn's Stackable Heart Dies to die cut my windows. I like to use Heidi Swapp Minc Acetate because it is good quality and reasonably priced.

After attaching the acetate to my panel, I made my wells to keep the shaker bits from all falling to the bottom. For this I layed down double sided tape and cut strips of fun foam making sure they but up to each other. You could use 3M Foam Tape to make that step faster and easier but I was out at the time.
I've added a picture just to give you an idea of what mine looks like.

I stamped out some small hearts in rainbow colours from my Archival inks and fussy cut them out. Then I put the hearst, white and clear sequins, along with white/silver and clear seed beads. Don't be stingy with your shaker bits!

For the front of the card I have this 'Lovely' I cut 3 times out of a Lawn Fawn paper pack and added glossy accents on top to make it stand out.

Lastly the banner was also cut from the same pack of paper and stamped with a pretty sentiment.

What really makes this card pop is the seed bead border I added by hand using Tombow Mono Multi glue. This took some patience but is really pretty!
This is a super simple, glitzy card for Valentines Day.

Thanks for stopping by and please share!
